Utilities & Other Financial Assistance
CHRISTIAN ASSISTANCE MINISTRY (CAM)-KERR COUNTY
To provide, through a cooperative effort among Kerr County churches, food, clothing, new prescriptions, & help with utility bills every 3 months (up to $100, but not if disconnected). CAM works closely with other community agencies and government assistance programs to help clients locate the best resources to help them. No assistance is provided for telephone bills, rent, doctor or hospital bills.

COMMUNITY COUNCIL OF SOUTH-CENTRAL TEXAS
To provide utility and rental assistance. Funding is also available for A/C repairs.

SOCIETY OF ST. VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY NOTRE DAME KERRVILLE
To provide food assistance twice per month based on family size. Upon presentation of a bill, we can provide financial assistance to a household once each calendar quarter for utilities, insurance, repairs and other needs – subject to limits established by the local Conference. We can provide gasoline vouchers once each month with proof of medical appointments or other critical appointments in San Antonio. Clothing may be provided once each month through vouchers issued for our thrift store. Prescription co-pays can be provided through a voucher system. Assistance can also be provided for obtaining government documents, such as driver’s license or ID Cards. No assistance given for rent or mortgage payments.
Eligibility: Qualifications are established by San Antonio Food Bank through U.S. Department of Agriculture. The qualifications include existing assistance from specific government programs, limits to household income and temporary emergencies.

THE SALVATION ARMY
To provide assistance with food, clothing, rent, utilities (Atmos Gas Bill Assistance), dental extractions, Christmas assistance, school supplies, daily soup kitchen, disaster services. Contact for an appointment

TRINITY BAPTIST CHURCH
To provide assistance with utilities in critical circumstances, up to $100, provided there is proof client can pay the balance. Client must schedule an appointment. We do NOT help with food, rent or temporary housing.
Eligibility: Bring ID and the bill for which payment help is needed. Bill must be in the requester’s name. Assistance may be requested up to three occasions; initial visit, 3 months and 6 months.
