CHRISTIAN ASSISTANCE MINISTRY (CAM)-KERR COUNTY
To provide, through a cooperative effort among Kerr County churches, food, clothing, new prescriptions, & help with utility bills (up to $100 every 3 months, but not if disconnected). CAM works closely with other community agencies and government assistance programs to help clients locate the best resources to help them. No assistance is provided for telephone bills, rent, doctor or hospital bills.

INTELLECTUAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITY SERVICES – HILL COUNTRY MHDD
Hill Country MHDD Center is a Local Intellectual and Developmental Disability Authority (LIDDA). LIDDA services include coordinating & monitoring on-going services, Home & Community-Based Services (HCS) & Texas Home Living Interest Lists, helping students transition from school services to community-based services, and aiding families who are seeking residential services for children & adults. The Service Coordination team coordinates & manages the vast array of services for people diagnosed with intellectual & developmental disabilities. Provider Services support individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities to achieve an interdependent life & live to their fullest potential by providing individualized specialized services.

KERR COUNTY INDIGENT HEALTH
To provide assistance with payment for basic medical services by appointment only. The program provides health care for citizens who meet program requirements (place of residence, income, resources). Services provided include physician visits, hospital inpatient and outpatient services, up to 3 prescription medications per month, and may include payment of existing medical claims. The program may also available to certain undocumented persons who meet eligibility requirements. Kerr County residents who live at sober homes, the homeless and people living at the Salvation Army are not considered.

RAPHAEL COMMUNITY FREE CLINIC
To provide non-emergency primary care medical services including, but not limited to the treatment and education for diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, hepatitis C, COPD and asthma. We also provide treatment for women’s health services; headaches, colds, and earaches; wellness visits; general illness and minor injuries to our eligible patients who are uninsured. HILL COUNTRY COUNCIL ON ALCOHOL AND DRUG ABUSE (HCCADA)
To provide prevention programs and services, education and outpatient treatment & recovery support for Bandera, Kendall & Kerr Counties. Most substance use prevention services are free of charge & include youth prevention programs taught in elementary, middle, & high schools; adult & community prevention presentations; & fun, creative activities for school districts, civic & parent organizations, & senior centers. We can provide presentations on stress relief, bullying, communication skills & journaling. We also provide mental health awareness training &, for a fee, alcohol & drug assessments. Education services include court ordered classes like the Drug Offender Education Program, DWI Education and DWI Intervention, referral services, Victim’s Impact Panel, Alcohol Awareness/Minor in Possession courses, & tobacco counseling & education. HCCADA’s Kerrville office also conducts 5-Panel Hair Follicle drug tests. Outpatient treatment & recovery services include individual & group counseling. SAN ANTONIO LIGHTHOUSE FOR THE BLIND AND VISION IMPAIRED
To provide virtual and in-home services to people with vision loss. These services include independent Living Skills Training, counseling, Orientation and Mobility Training, and pre-diabetes and diabetic education. These services not only restore confidence & self-worth but enhance the quality of life & allow participants to reach their maximum potential. The monthly Low Vision Club meets the second Tuesday of each month at the Dietert Center from 10:00 am – 11:30 am. Service area includes Bexar and surrounding counties. Hablamos Español.

To provide low-cost vaccinations for children with Medicaid and to children and adults who do not have health insurance. Provide free STD testing, treatment, and education; free car seat inspections/installations. To educate the community about infant safe sleep, immunizations, car seat safety, hand washing, nutrition, hygiene, and heart health. We do not provide TB testing (PPD).
Eligibility: Vaccinations are provided to uninsured adults, uninsured children, and children with Medicaid. Health insurance and Medicaid disqualifies ADULTS for vaccinations. STD testing is free to the public—no qualifiers. Car seat inspections are free to the public.
