We provide training and support for missionaries involved in medical, feeding, orphanages and an almost endless variety of services to the poor and marginalized. CAM works closely with other community agencies and government assistance programs to help clients locate the best resources to help them. Clothing is available once every 2 weeks free. The Journey Program is the 12+ month, faith-based restoration program of Mercy Gate Ministries. Our team meets participants right where they are and creates an individual treatment plan designed to fulfill her specific spiritual, emotional, psychological, medical, and life-skill needs. ARC (Advocacy Resource Center) is an advocacy program of Mercy Gate Ministries to help survivors discover any and all resources available to them on their road to recovery and, ultimately, reintegration into society. CAAVA's (Court Appointed Adult Victim Advocates) work closely with victims/defendants, guiding them through individualized court-ordered requirements for rehabilitation, court hearings, counseling, group sessions, and self-development goals. CAAVA's also support and empower victims/defendants and their families throughout the legal process of seeking restitution, prosecution of their traffickers, and family reunification. VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY NOTRE DAME KERRVILLE To provide food assistance twice per month based on family size. Upon presentation of a bill, we can provide financial assistance to a household once each calendar quarter for utilities, insurance, repairs and other needs – subject to limits established by the local Conference. We can provide gasoline vouchers once each month with proof of medical appointments or other critical appointments in San Antonio. Clothing may be provided once each month through vouchers issued for our thrift store. Prescription co-pays can be provided through a voucher system. Assistance can also be provided for obtaining government documents, such as driver’s license or ID Cards. No assistance given for rent or mortgage payments. Eligibility: Qualifications are established by San Antonio Food Bank through U.S. Department of Agriculture. The qualifications include existing assistance from specific government programs, limits to household income and temporary emergencies.
