ALAMO CALL-A-RIDE 4 VETS (CARV)
To provide free transportation for veterans, their spouses, widows and widowers of spouses for a variety of reasons in the Alamo Area Council of Governments coverage area, including Kerr County.  The program is provided to veterans regardless of income and their spouses throughout the 13-county AACOG Region.  The rider may be referred by a social worker, case manager or other advocate.  AACOG staff verifies eligibility and informs potential rider of required supporting information.  Five to seven days’ notice is normally required to schedule rides once veteran or spouse has registered.  Future riders are asked to allow seven to ten days prior to ride request.
Eligibility:  Proof of military service (service documents) or VA identification; number of trips based on funding to this AACOG program.
