Alamo Area Council of Governments - AACOG/ASC/ADRC (ASSISTANCE FOR AGING, DISABLED & VETERANS)
To provide information, referral and assistance to seniors, people with disabilities, veterans / spouses and families by exploring options for handling problems related to aging and disability and recommend resources and strategies for problem resolution.  The Alamo Service Connection has an extensive vetted database to refer callers to government agencies, nonprofits, and other service providers. Low income weatherization Program - The weatherization program aims to assist low-income individuals & families in modifying their homes through insulation, caulking, and minor HVAC maintenance regardless if they live in a house, apartment, or mobile home. 

Eligibility:  Persons aged 60, people with disabilities, veterans/spouses and families.

BCFS HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES, KERRVILLE
To provide youth transitioning out of foster care, and other at-risk youth and young adults (ages 13-25), case management, training, and mentoring.  To provide parenting classes and support groups to families of children ages 3-17. To provide training and assistance with finding and maintaining employment.  To provide affordable housing with transitional living support.  We also provide a computer lab with internet access.  All services are free.

DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS—HEALTH CARE FOR HOMELESS VETERANS
To provide outreach to homeless/at risk veterans in the Hill Country region including case management; referrals for VA and non-VA housing programs; and assessment for the HUD-VASH housing vouchers designated at Freedom’s Path Apartment Complex for low-income veterans.
Eligibility:  Must have been honorably discharged from the US Military and eligible for enrollment for healthcare at VA Medical Center.  Veteran must be homeless or at risk for homelessness or unstably housed.

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
To provide a simple and decent place in which persons who qualify can live and grow into all that God intends for them to be.  Habitat builds or renovates houses in partnership with families who qualify for homeownership based on three criteria:  a need, a willingness to partner with HFH and an ability to repay a no-interest mortgage.
Eligibility:  Qualify for homeownership; 40 – 60% of Kerr County’s median income range; willingness to put in sweat equity

HOMELESS PREVENTION AND RE-HOUSING PROGRAM—KERRVILLE SALVATION ARMY
To provide through the Salvation Army assistance to individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless with the goal of rapidly transitioning to housing stability, whether through their own means or links to community resources and mainstream benefits.  Part of the program will also focus on assisting participants to develop a plan to prevent future instability.

MERCY GATE MINISTRIES (501C3)
Mercy Gate Ministries is a direct service provider who offers residential (The Haven) and nonresidential programs for women 18 years and older who are victims of sex trafficking, sexual exploitation, and sexual trauma.

The Journey Program is a 12+ month , faith-based restoration program of Mercy Gate Ministries. Our team meets participants right where they are and creates an individual treatment plan designed to fulfill her specific spiritual, emotional, psychological, medical, and life-skill needs.
